Liverpool charities to be based in the city centre

Dozens of charities in Liverpool could soon be housed in a 42,000 square foot city centre building.

Liverpool Charity and Voluntary Services has bought Stanley House, the former home of betting company Stanley International Betting for £4.8m. The Co-operative Bank contributed £2m and the charity paid the rest. The infrastructure organisation, which was founded 99 years ago, has rented premises in the city's Castle Street since 1912....
