International volunteering projects to be promoted in schools

Teams visiting schools to promote youth volunteering have agreed to promote both UK and international projects under a new agreement between volunteering charities V and Worldwide Volunteering.

Peter Sharp, director of Worldwide Volunteering , described the deal as a gentlemen's agreement to make better use of resources and help V meet its targets. Worldwide Volunteering will guide people between 16 and 25 years of age who are keen to volunteer in their communities to their local vinvolved...
