Councel and Care has branded the Government's plans

Counsel and Care has branded the Government's plans to disband the Social Exclusion Unit "ageist". The charity said plans announced last week by Cabinet Office minister Hilary Armstrong to replace the unit with a new Social Exclusion Taskforce failed to tackle the needs of older people.
