Interim chief executive goes permanent at Children in Need

David Ramsden has been appointed chief executive of BBC Children in Need. He has been interim chief executive at the charity since August 2006 when he took up the post vacated by former head Sally Deighan.

As permanent chief executive, Ramsden will oversee all operations, including the next BBC Children in Need Appeal on 16 November.
