Children in Need grants announced

BBC Children in Need has awarded more than £15 million to projects dedicated to improving the lives of children and young people across the UK.

The money is the first of two installments to be allocated this year following a host of fundraising initiatives predicted to have raised more than £31 million in 2006 alone.
