Donor website in charity status bid

Intelligent Giving, the donor information service, has applied to the Charity Commission for charitable status. It had previously said it would not become a charity because it wanted to remain independent from the sector it was commenting on.
The change of heart was prompted by one of Intelligent Giving's funders, which suggested it should become a charity to enable it to claim back Gift Aid.
