Zoya Phan has been appointed international coordinator of the Burma Campaign UK.
Her role will be to establish sister organisations in Europe and lobby MPs and governments. Phan is a refugee from Burma who has claimed asylum in the UK. She fled the country aged 14 when the Burmese army attacked her village.
