Age Concern may cut pensions to make up deficit

Age Concern England is to consider closing its final salary pension scheme in order to make up an estimated £13m deficit in its fund.

The charity is acting on the results of a three-yearly valuation by actuaries, which highlights increased longevity and more conservative investment returns over the next few years.
